The AFLPA Members Whistleblower Service

The AFLPA Members Whistleblower Service is a confidential service through which you can report concerns about issues you may have experienced or observed in the AFL industry.

We know it can be difficult to talk openly about issues you may face. The whistleblower service has been set up to provide an avenue to have these conversations in a protected, confidential environment.

The whistleblower service is for AFLPA members and their families only. This includes current AFL and AFLW players, as well as all past players (regardless of whether or not a match has been played).

Through the whistleblower service, you can make reports relating to AFLPA members in the AFL industry. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Racism, sexism or any vilification
  • Bullying or harassment
  • Physical health (such as management of concussion)
  • Mental health
  • Breaches of AFL rules and policies (such as gambling or illicit drugs)

The AFLPA has partnered with Stopline to ensure that our whistleblower service is independent and of best practice. Stopline has extensive experience providing integrity/whistleblowing services to Australian organisations. The service includes:

  • Dedicated hotline number, website, mail and email address to report suspected wrongdoing
  • Expert forensic investigators taking the calls and analysing disclosures
  • Timely reporting of incidents to dedicated representatives within the AFLPA
